The countries signed a joint letter of support for the “SoutH2-Corridor”, which will transport hydrogen between North Africa, Italy, Austria and Germany to help meet European demand for low-cost renewable hydrogen.
Germany to join hydrogen pipeline project with Spain, Portugal and France. The H2Med project aims to supply about 10% of the European Union’s hydrogen demand by 2030.
The countries will build an undersea pipeline to transport hydrogen from the Iberian Peninsula to France and eventually the rest of Europe by 2030.
