Daimler Truck reached new milestone with the #HydrogenRecordRun after the Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck traveled 1,047 km (650.58 mi) between Woerth am Rhein and Berlin (Germany) on one fill of liquid hydrogen.
The companies have signed a contract to support decarbonization of train fleets by retrofitting a diesel locomotive (from Irish Rail) with a Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine (made by DIGAS), which will run on renewable, emission-free fuel.
H2FLY’s hydrogen aircraft (‘HY4’) completed four piloted flight tests. Results showed that liquid hydrogen doubled the range of the HY4 (compared to using gaseous hydrogen), marking a critical step towards long-range, emissions-free commercial flights.
A reachstacker developed by Hyster and powered by Nuvera Fuel Cells has been shipped to the Port of Valencia in Spain, as part of a project (H2Ports) aiming to develop zero-emission solutions for port operations.
The scheme will support renewable hydrogen production and increase the country’s electrolysis capacity, contributing to efforts to reduce emissions and achieve climate neutrality. It also supports the EU Hydrogen Strategy, European Green Deal, and REPowerEU Plan.
