As we await the mass adoption of EVs, one question that lingers is, ‘will battery-powered vehicles be as convenient as gas-powered ones?’ With that in mind, we can conclude that the future of electric vehicles hinges on battery technology. It will only make sense for the entire world to fully embrace EVs if the range, performance, and efficiency of batteries outdo that of gasoline. After all, EVs and gas vehicles share all other components except where they draw power. All EVs are currently powered by Lithium-Ion batteries. But these batteries come with significant limitations, and automakers are working on a more promising upgrade – the solid-state batteries.
